CRG Booster Club - Board Meeting Minutes February 23, 2011
President Report:
1. Need to name a new secretary to the Board. Irene Beckwith agreed to fulfill this position.
2. Corporate sponsorships need to be worked on. Volunteers are needed to focus on this now to collect funds for next season.
Treasurer Report:
Currently, the Booster Club has $6,288 in the account. All coaches fees have been paid.
King Sooper Incentive:
The Board decided to add a $10 incentive for every $500 spent for the March-April time frame. Also, clarification re: de-activated cards – if KS card has no money on it, and it is not used for 6 months, the card will be de-activated. If money is on the card, it remains activated.
Current Fundraisers:
1. Stumpy’s Pizza: This fundraiser will be done once/month
2. Chick-Fil-A: This fundraiser will be done again in March
3. Italian Ice: This fundraiser will be ongoing.
4. Butter Braids: $1100 raised. This fundraiser will be conducted again late March for orders to be received by the Easter Holiday. Cookie dough will also be available for purchase through this fundraising event.
5. Flowers: Possibly be available for Mother’s Day. More information to follow.
6. DU:
a. CRSG will perform at the March 12th meet at Hamilton Area. The team will conduct the performance “post meet” while scores are being calculated.
b. Gymnasts performing will receive voucher for entry. All other attendees will need to purchase tickets for entry. Tickets will be sold at CRSG for this event and a portion of the sales will be donated to the Booster Club.
c. Ticket sales will begin _________ and end on _______ (add dates)
d. DU is hosting the NCAA Regional Championships on Saturday, April 2nd.
i. CRSG will sell tickets. Ticket price is $15/ticket. A portion of the sales will be donated to the Booster Club.
e. Vicki is working with DU to donate signature give-away items (i.e. duffel bag, t-shirts, pom-poms, autographed posters, sweatshirts, etc.)that can be auctioned-off to raise money for the Booster Club. More details will follow.
f. Vicki is also working with DU for a date by the end of May for CRSG gymnasts to tour the DU gymnastics facilities, meet the coaches and gymnasts and watch a DU exhibition. Vicki is also working to schedule time for the DU gymnasts to visit CRSG and conduct an exhibition. More details to follow.
End of Season Banquet:
Location: Kirk Hall at the Douglas County Fairgrounds
Date: Saturday, May 7th from 5:00pm – conclusion
Meal: Mexican Buffet. Deadline for bids is March 9th. All bids to include paper products, drinks and dessert.
Budget: $2025 including food and gifts. Kirk Hall requires a $150 rental fee, insurance (which will cost $100, and $50 fee to the Castle Rock Fire Department to approve the decorations).
Set-up and Clean-up: Volunteers will be needed to assist in setting up the event and cleaning up following the event. Signup is available at http://crgboosterclub.pleasebringit.com/public/1MRX5MFZ$Loweeblylink_new_window.
Gifts: The board and family volunteers will research gifts that were discussed at this meeting. All gift ideas and costs to be submitted for review and approval at the March 14th Board Meeting.
Decorations: Sheryl will lead this committee. Specifics will be agreed upon at the next Board Meeting. Volunteers who are interested in helping with decorations should attend the next Board Meeting on Monday, March 14th at 5:30pm.
Invitations: Sheryl will make the invitations and have them distributed to the gymnasts on April 9th. RSVP will be due on April 23rd. Kiora will send out a “Save the Date” notice via email to the gym families by February 28th.
Next Board Meeting: Monday, March 14, 2011 at 5:30pm in the 2nd floor room. Any families interested in helping with this fun event, please plan to attend.

Treasurer Report- paid coaches fees again this year for all athletes-up to but not including state meets
Account update $2600.00 after 1st installment to Lexy for coach fees

Bronco’s Games- Dire need for more commitment from people- short (4) this game
