CRG Booster Club Meeting Minutes
July 11, 2011
President’s Report:
Level 4 Parent Representative was named: Jennifer Garcia
About CRG Booster Club is on the site and done.
Website: Board members are to review the site and provide any feedback/input to Kiora.
Pictures: waiver forms must be received. Team Moms’ will remind families during gymnast practices. Forms are due to the office by August 1, 2011.
Lexy:
1. Coach’s fees for 2012 will run $9,675.00 for all competitive meets, and not including State Championships. The Board voted and agreed to pay this amount in 2 payments.
2. Parade: The Castle Rock Parade is Saturday, August 6th. All TEAM gymnasts are required to participate. No practices will be conducted so all can attend the parade. The boys will wear their competition CRG t-shirt and black short. The girls will wear a CRG Tank Top that must be purchased through the Booster Club along with black shorts (purchased on your own). The T-shirt is $10.00 and the booster club is not making any money on the shirts. The Booster Club is purchasing the shirts and getting the embroidery done. T-shirt can be purchased at the Customer Appreciation Event and the Gym office.
Treasurer:
The Booster Account has approximately $6,400.00 currently. In order to pay the necessary coach’s fees for all TEAM meets, several thousands of dollars need to be raised by March, 2012.
Team Parent Shirts:
Team Parent Shirts will be available for purchase/order at the Customer Appreciation Event, as well as in the Gym office. All orders/purchases must be made by Saturday, August 13th in order for the shirts to be delivered prior to the first TEAM meet on September 10-11, 2011.
Customer Appreciation Event:
Food will consist of pizza, apples, grapes, Kona Ice, chips, water, Gatorade. Sign-up sheet has been sent to parents for donations and volunteers will be assigned to work the food booth.
Memberships:
Booster Club Memberships can be purchased at the Customer Appreciation Event. Also, a list of families that still need to join will be provided to the Team Moms to obtain during Team practices.
Upcoming events and ideas:
1. Gifts for Gymnasts: This will be done for all TEAM competitions. Team Moms will work with Lorilei to develop and deliver the gifts for each meet.
2. Trick a Thon:
3. Sept. 17th National Gymnastics Day: Irene to contact Castle Rock Outlets and see if we can use the open space from 4pm-7pm where gymnasts can showcase their talents and obtain donations/tips from individuals watching the performances. Irene will provide update to board if/when date is confirmed.
Corporate Sponsors:
Update to Kiora regarding the 3 corporate sponsors that have committed from the Corporate Sponsorship Reps is needed. Please provide this information to Kiora as soon as possible for planning purposes.
USAgain:
The collection bin is emptied once/month and the CRG Booster Club will receive 2 cents per pound. Only clothes, shoes and toys are collected. The donation will be received quarterly. An email reminder was sent out following the Booster Club meeting.
