                                    CRG Booster Club Meeting Minutes

                                    August 8, 2011

                                    President’s Report:

                                    -A new parent representative is needed for the Boys Competitive Team.  A parent was approached and we are waiting to hear back from her.

                                    -About CRG Booster Club:  Based on questions from parents regarding what the CRG Booster Club is all about, Irene will draft a letter that will go to all the parents of competitive gymnasts detailing the mission and vision of the club, as well as where the money goes so all parents can see the value of the Booster Club to the gymnasts.

                                    -Parade Tank Tops:  2 tank tops are available for purchase.  They are both pink, size 12.  If you are interested, please reach out to Kiora Cartwright at Kiora.cartwright@gmail.com.

                                    -Parent Shirts and Pins:  Shirts and pins will be available for purchase until August 20th.  Irene sent an email to all parents with the schedule and website for this fundraiser.  Parent volunteers will be available on the following nights to collect orders and payments:

                                                Wednesday, August 10th:    5:30pm-8:30pm

                                    Thursday, August 11th:        5:00pm-7:00pm

                                    Monday, August 15th:          4:30pm-8:30pm

                                    Tuesday, August 16th:         4:30pm-7:00pm

                                    Wednesday, August 17th:    5:30pm-7:00pm

                                    Thursday, August 18th:        5:00pm-7:00pm

                                    Treasurer’s Report:  No updates to report

                                    Corporate Sponsors:

                                    -We have our first corporate Sponsor, Bradley Insurance.  Thanks to Ryan Derback for his support!

                                               

                                    -The Corporate Sponsor Representatives, Holly Hinesley, Brenna Burkes and Dana Bullock are doing a wonderful job obtaining new sponsors!  There was a discussion regarding the documentation needed, plaque design, logos needed for the banner and other specifics.  An email will be sent from the gym to all parents who have children attending the gym regarding interest in being a Corporate Sponsor. 

                                    Current Fundraising Activities:

                                    -Team Scorebook:  A team scorebook is being developed and will be made available for sale prior to the first meet this season.  Each gymnast will have their picture in the book, along with some fun facts.  “Shout-outs” will be sold for $5.00/line and can be purchased at the dates/times listed above.

                                    -Gift’s for Gymnasts:  Lorilei provided an update regarding the gift ideas for this season.  The Team Moms will be responsible for making sure the gifts are available at the meets and distributed to the families that purchased them.

                                    -Bronco’s Games:  Now that the season is officially on, we will need to have 3 parent volunteers per game.  We are sharing our space with 2 other organizations.  Please contact Kiora and sign up so we have the number of volunteers that are required.  You can reach Kiora at Kiora.cartwright@gmail.com.

                                    National Gymnastics Day:  Irene has contacted Castle Rock Outlet Mall and discussed the opportunity for our gymnasts to perform at the mall on Saturday, September 17th – National Gymnastics Day.  Irene will discuss specifics with Lexy and will sent details regarding this event.

                                    Upcoming Fundraising Activities:

                                    Sweet Tomato’s:  Tuesday, August 23rd from 4:00pm-7:00pm.  All families will receive a

                                    flyer with details about this fundraiser.  The flyer MUST be presented at point of purchase and CRG Booster Club will receive a percentage of total purchases.  Anyone can participate in this fundraiser – all they need is to take the flyer to the restaurant and present it.  Stay tuned for more information/advertisement about this event.

                                    Speed Raceway:  Friday, October 7th will be the CRG Booster Club fundraiser at Speed Raceway.  This will be a fun family night of racing!  Stay tuned for more details regarding this fundraiser.

                                    Next Meeting:  The next CRG Booster Club Meeting will be Monday, September 12th at 5:30pm.
